Orihuela Costa and Torrevieja, multilingual and cosmopolitan – A superb choice for holidays and permanent living.
Orihuela Costa: Orihuela Costa starts at Punta Prima, south of the City of Torrevieja, and stretches to Mill Palmeras, where the Province of Alicante and the Valencian Community come to an end and the Región de Murcia begin.
This lovely Costal area of Spain is very “tourist friendly”, and has been one of the favourite destinations for Europeans and Spanish alike for many decades. It’s an area that understands the needs of people looking to make the most of the 320 days of sunshine a year that Orihuela Costa has to offer, with great beaches, world class golf courses, plenty of night life, water parks, family activities and friendly restaurants, cafes and bars, there is something for everyone in and around Orihuela Costa and Torrevieja, and all of this can be easily accessed from 2 major airports, San Javier in Murcia and El Altet in Alicante, both offering bargain flights to and from many parts of Europe.
Playa Flamenca, La Florida, Dream Hills, La Zenia, Cabo Roig, Villamartin, Campoamor, Punta Prima and Mil Palmeras are some of the more popular and better known, areas of Orihuela Costa along with Los Altos, Los Balcones and La Veleta on the southern end of Torrevieja and bordering with Orihuela Costa. It takes time to build up all the requirements of an open and cosmopolitan society, Orihuela Costa and Torrevieja have created an environment over many years that meets and exceeds the needs of its multi-national citizens admirably.
Like every other country, the global recession also hit Spain.
